Rowan weather: Nice today, rain possible Friday

Enjoy today and Thursday, because the chance of showers and thunderstorms increases the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Tonight will be cool, with a low of 59. The UV index will be back in the very high range, so be careful in the sun. The air quality will be good today and tomorrow.
Thursday will be slightly warmer, with a high of 84. A 30 percent chance of showers comes in Thursday night, with a low around 66.
Looks like the greatest chance of a damp day is Friday, with a 60 percent chance and showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon. Cloudy skies will keep the nigh to near 80 degrees. Friday night will have a 50 percent chance of precipitation, and a low of 63.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible after 11 a.m. Saturday, with a 50 percent chance of rain. The high will be near 79, and the low, with a continuing chance of showers, will be 65.
The precipitation chance drops to 40 percent on Sunday, but skies will be cloudy again, with a high near 80. The low will be around 66, with more rain possible.
