Police: Belk employee accused of taking fashion jewelry

Police charged a Salisbury woman with stealing hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry from a local department store.
Salisbury Police charged Patricia Basinger Kiser, 63, of the 1400 block of Fieldcrest Drive, with felony larceny by employee.
A report said Kiser is accused of taking “fashion jewelry” from Belk, located at 1455 Klumac Road, from July 16 to Friday when the theft was discovered.
Kiser was given a written promise to appear in court. She had a first court appearance Monday.

• Jeffrey Boyd, 46, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 100 block of Dunham Avenue.
