Salisbury woman arrested by undercover cop

Police charged a Salisbury woman with selling pills to an undercover officer in the parking lot of Walgreens.
Crystal Gail Griffin, 31, of the 100 block of Owens Drive, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling place for controlled substances, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance schedule II, misdemeanor child abuse and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1500 block of East Innes Street.
Griffin is accused of selling seven opana pills to the officer. Opana is a brand of oxymorphone, a painkiller.
Griffin remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

• A woman reported Thursday a larceny occurred between July 28 and Thursday in the 200 block Webbwood Lane, Gold Hill.
• A woman reported Thursday a felony larceny occurred between July 28 and July 31 in the 1100 block of Bear Poplar Road, Cleveland.
• A man reported Thursday a felony larceny occurred between Aug. 3 and Thursday in the 2000 block of Glover Road.
• Rhonda Gail Hunt, 44, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 100 block of Hilton Avenue, Kannapolis.
