The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Thursday, Aug. 14, 2-6:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church at 200 Clearview Road, Cleveland. This is behind the IGA grocery store. The blood drive is sponsored by the Cleveland Lions Club and Cornerstone Baptist Church. For appointments call Elaine Hewitt, 704-278-0661, or Tim Moore at Woodleaf Fire Department, 704-798-6845 or go to www.redcrossblood.org.
Anyone who can donate double red blood cells is especially encouraged to make an appointment (blood types O+, O-, A- and B-).
The Cleveland Lions Club would like to acknowledge the years that Linda Gregory, representing Cedar Grove AME Zion Church, co-led these community blood drives. Gregory passed away this year.
