Charles Carroll Owen and Bonnie Myers Owen of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 23, 2014. They were married Aug. 23, 1964, at Enon Baptist Church in Salisbury by the Rev. W.J. Stevenson.
Carroll retired from the United States Postal Service, and Bonnie retired from the Salisbury Post.
Their children are Valerie Owen of Raleigh, Dana Evans and husband Matthew Evans of Salisbury and Laura Broome and husband Michael Broome of Salisbury. Their four grandchildren are Katherine and Abigale Evans and M. Benjamin and Blake Broome, all of Salisbury.
The Owens are planning a special vacation in celebration of this milestone event in their lives.
