Kannapolis wants feedback on parks plan

Earlier this year the city of Kannapolis Parks & Recreation Department asked for input on what the priorities for Parks and Recreation facilities should be over the next 10 years. The city held public workshops and conducted online and telephone surveys as they worked to gather information from the public.
A Parks & Recreation Master Plan based on citizen input has now been drafted.
On Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., in the Village Park Building, the city would like the public to join the city for an overview of the new Parks & Recreation Master Plan. The city will discuss the types of parks, playgrounds, recreational centers and amenities such as ball fields and greenways that have been identified as a need in our city. This plan, once adopted by City Council, will give Kannapolis a blueprint to improve parks, greenways and recreational facilities.
