Rowan investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who is accused of stealing a credit card at the Webb Road Flea Market and using it at two area convenience stores.
Officials with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said the card was reported stolen on July 13 to the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
The victim told authorities the card was stolen at the Webb Road Flea Market. Investigators discovered the card was used at Love’s Truck Stop at Peeler Road and Interstate 85, and at Jordan’s Hot Spot on U.S. 29 in Salisbury, a statement said.
Detectives were able to recover security video from these businesses that show a white male using the stolen credit card.
The video, which is just over a minute long, shows an older white male buying cigarettes and other items from one of the convenience stores.
Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is asked to contact Detective C.J. Gordy at 704-216-8710 or Lt. Chad Moose 704-216-8687.
