Capstone Recovery holds first residential graduation

Capstone Recovery Center celebrated the first residential graduation celebration on Sept. 14. Crystal Rodgers, who has lived at Capstone for 10 months, is the first to complete the residential portion of the program.
Rodgers started out her day with Sheila Igo of Greystone Salon and Spa gifting her with a hair style and makeup. Dr. Shirley R. Luckadoo, chairwoman of the board of directors, spoke about continuing to grow and maintaining focus on priorities. Dr. Oscar Ramirez, the counseling director at Capstone, presented the graduation certificate and spoke about the principles of a successful functional life.
Capstone Recovery Center provides a safe environment for women whose lives have been devastated by substance abuse and have a desire for a radically new life. It is located at 418 W. Innes St., Salisbury.
Capstone Recovery Center has received financial funding from the Rowan County United Way, The Blanche & Julian Robertson Family Foundation, The Salisbury Community Foundation and The Margaret C. Woodson Foundation.
