Police are looking for the man who robbed the Cato store Friday.
The women’s clothing store is located at 1030 Freeland Drive in Salisbury.
The man “appeared to be shopping for a while and even asked a clerk about a pair of boots,” said Capt. Shelia Lingle of the Salisbury Police Department.
Around 3:43 p.m., though, he went up to the cashier and told her to “open the register and hurry up,” according to Lingle.
He took the money and left on foot.
Police are looking for a black male in his 50s who is 5 feet, 11 inches. He was wearing jeans with a University of North Carolina tee shirt, a blue baseball cap, a navy University of North Carolina sweatshirt and sunglasses.
