SALISBURY — Police continue to release few details behind a Saturday night shooting on West Harrison Street which wounded a Salisbury man.

Sgt. T.B. Shulenburger identified the shooting victim as Jericho Lamonte White, 21, of Salisbury. He reportedly was shot at 212 W. Harrison St. about 7:20 p.m. Saturday.

Police initially were called to 809 S. Fulton St. Saturday night to assist a man who had been shot. White apparently made it to that address after being wounded.

Emergency dispatches said White had been shot on the left side of the head, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. It is believed White was transported to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, though Shulenburger could not confirm that.

The department continues to follow leads in the case, Shulenburger said.
