Frankie Lee Williams, of Rowan County, will serve two and half years to just under four years in prison after being convicted Friday of felony cocaine possession and his admitted status as a habitual felon.
On October 2, 2013 the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office served outstanding warrants on Williams.
A woman answered the door and deputies told her they were looking for Williams. Another woman told authorities Williams wasn’t at the home.
Deputies were given permission to search the home and inside it they found a cigarette lighter, two metal pipes that could be used to smoke cocaine, a knife and small white cocaine rocks. Deputies located Williams hiding under a bed. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Suneson prosecuted the case and the Judge Jeffrey P. Hunt sentenced Williams to a minimum of 30 months and a maximum of 45 months in prison.
Williams was previously convicted of felony larceny of a firearm and felony fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and other offenses.
