Benjamin and Carrie  Brown of Rockwell celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014. They attended the Organ Lutheran Church congregation’s annual fish fry and celebrated with family and friends.
The Browns were wed in historic Organ Lutheran Church by the Rev. A.W. Adderholt on Oct. 19, 1947. Ben continues to operated their nursery business they started in the 1940s. Carrie resides in the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.
Their children are Ted Brown of Matthews, Kaye Brown Hirst and husband Ed of Salisbury and Amy Brown of Greenville, S.C.
