The senior quarterback completed 34 of 53 passing attempts for 376 yards and two  touchdowns and rushed for a touchdown in the Mustangs’ 42-32 loss at South Point in the third round of the 3A state playoffs.

Wyrick’s 34 completions on Friday broke a long-standing county record. He finished his senior campaign with county single-season records of 256 completions, 3,219 passing yards and 38 touchdown passes. Wyrick finished his career with 6,443 passing yards and 7.498 yards of total offense. He had 74 touchdown passes and 22 rushing TDs.
