A thief used a hammer to break the front window of the AT&T cell phone store and took several phones valued at more than $2,000, police say.
Salisbury Police responded at 2:44 a.m. to the store, 347 Faith Road, after the alarm sounded. The front window was shattered, a report said.
A store surveillance video showed a man approach the front store, strike the glass with the hammer and reach in to unlock the deadbolt. He headed to the back of the store and kicked in two doors. He then went to a wall, grabbed six cell phones and exited the store.
The six phones, including two Samsung Galaxy S5’s, a Samsung Note 4, and an HTC Desire were valued at $2,300, said Police Capt. Shelia Lingle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
