MOCKSVILLE — Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, 164 Excalibur Lane, will host a pre-Christmas dinner on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. TIckets are $8 (donations accepted). Menu includes ham/turkey, mashed potatoes and grvy, green beans, macaroni and cheese, roll, sweet tea/coke.

China Grove – During the 11:00am service members and friends of Mount Zion will be celebrating the second Sunday of Advent, lighting the candle of Joy. Candle lighters will be Jeff, Candice and Sarah Safrit. The Rev. Michael Baldonado of Charlotte will be the guest preacher. Sarah Safrit will also be sharing the children’s message.

Concord — New Gilead Church, 2400 Old Salisbury-Concord Road, will host Steve Thweatt, a former feature pianist with the University of Memphis, in a present a sacred concer on December 7 at 5:30 PM.
