Rowan County makes appearance on ‘North Carolina Weekend’

On this Thursday’s “North Carolina Weekend,” two places in Rowan County will be featured.

Producer Bryan Mims will do a piece on China Grove’s Price of Freedom Museum, organized and run by Bobby Mault. All fifth-graders in the county visit the museum as part of a history lesson. Countless veterans and their families have donated items such as uniforms and photos to the museum, which sponsors special programs throughout the year.

Producer Derek Long will feature Piedmont Floral Galleries and Rufty’s Chrismon Shop on Furniture Drive in Salisbury. The Post has often written about the gold, silver and white chrismon ornaments that are Christian symbols, made in workshops at the business.
