The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education’s first work session of the year is Monday, and there are only seven items on the agenda.
Director of Technology Candace Salmon-Hosey will present an updated plan on how to broadcast school board meetings to the public.
Chief Financial Officer Tara Trexler will explain the budget process and timeline and facilitate an initial discussion on the process. The board will also discuss teacher supplements, which have proven to be a hurdle in the recruitment and retention process.
The board will also discuss its environmental sustainability policy and sustainable practices, as well as revisions to its student code of conduct.
Assistant Superintendent of Operations Anthony Vann will update the board on the central services building’s progress, as well as the district’s roofing needs.
The board will meet Monday at 4 p.m., at the district’s executive office, 314 N. Ellis St. in Salisbury.
