A Salisbury man was arrested last week in Craven County for multiple counts of statutory rape committed in Rowan County.

William Stanley Jacobs III, 20, of 2835 Agner Road in Salisbury, on Feb. 6 was charged with seven counts of statutory rape, according to warrants. His court date was 9 a.m. Friday at the Rowan County Courthouse and Jacobs was last booked into the Rowan County Jail at 8:14 a.m. on Saturday.

He was arrested in Craven County on Feb. 17 for the crimes, which involved a person that was 13 years old, warrants state.

Jacobs’ alleged crimes span a four month period, starting on Aug. 22, 2014. The last date listed on warrants is Nov. 30, 2014.

Jacobs remained in jail Saturday night on a bond of $700,000, according to records.
