Police responded to a Pine Street home where a man who appeared to be intoxicated said he wanted to report a robbery. Upon response to the home, the man told police he’d gone to a party with a childhood friend who later robbed him.
The man, Christopher Danielle Boyd, said he believed the party was in Granite Quarry. The friend returned him home where he took $100 and the Boyd’s iPhone 6. He told police he didn’t know the friend’s name and could only remember the vehicle was a red sport-utility vehicle. Police question Boyd’s account of the robbery.
Boyd began cursing at his grandmother, with whom he was living, after she told him to get inside. A Salisbury Police officer tried to calm Boyd down but he threatened to kill and beat up the officer, the report said.
Boyd, 23, was charged with misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor intoxicated and disruptive. He was issued a $1,500 secured bond and has since been released from the Rowan County jail.
