Salisbury Police say a man who was shot multiple times at the boarding house were he lived is in stable condition. Police have not made an arrest, but continue to look for a man and woman wanted in the shooting.
The incident occurred Friday morning at 1526 S. Main St., located beside Checkered Flag restaurant. The victim, Inwar Juvon Griffin, 37, was found in a common hallway inside the boarding house. Someone from inside the boarding house called for police and an ambulance.
The victim was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and later transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The shooters ran out of the back of the house and continued on foot, Police Capt. Shelia Lingle has said.
Lingle said investigators have very good leads, but could not say much more about the suspects.
She did say the incident was not a random shooting.
