- Celebrating with cheap gas: Police were on hand to manage traffic at the Country Cupboard BP gas station on Statesville Boulevard Wednesday afternoon as the price of gas was dropped to $1.85 for a few hours. The station's owner, Sandy Cashion, celebrated 30 years, since April 1985, of operating the gas station. David Purtell/Salisbury Post
