Changes to city’s bus routes take effect May 18

Beginning May 18, Salisbury Transit will offer riders new routes and schedules. May 18 will be Free Fare day for all riders. Salisbury Transit will now offer new or improved service to:
* Kohl’s/Belk
* Julian Road Medical Facilities
* Greyhound Bus Station – 11 trips each weekday, five on Saturdays
* Medical Facilities on Jake Alexander Boulevard/Mooresville Road
* Salisbury High School
* Salvation Army
* Morlan Park neighborhood/Pearl Street
* Saturday service – five trips
* Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
* Spencer/N.C. Transportation Museum
* Pine Hill Apartments.
The revised route schedules are:
Route 1 (Green Route) Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 7:04 p.m. South Main Street, Employment Security Commission, Jake Alexander Boulevard and Mooresville Road, Salisbury High School, Rowan Cabarrus Community College, Kohl’s and Belk, Julian Road Medical Facilities, Salisbury Customer Service Center
Route 2 (Red Route) Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 7:02 p.m. Lakewood Apartments and Lash Drive, Innes Street Market, Livingstone College, Civic Park Apartments, Harris Teeter, Health Department, Department of Social Services, Wal-Mart. Linn Lane
Route 3 (Blue Route) Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 7:08 p.m. East Spencer, Greyhound Bus Station, Spencer, N.C. Transportation Museum, Magnolia Gardens, Pine Hill Apartments, VA Medical Center, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
All routes operate on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
