Prep baseball on Monday

SPC tournament.  First round. Games are at 6:30 p.m.

(8) NW Cabarrus at (1) West Rowan

(7) Concord at (2) Carson

(6) Hickory Ridge at (3) East Rowan

(5) Cox Mill at (4) South Rowan

East Rowan hosts the semifinals on Wednesday at 5 and 7 and will host the championship game at 7 on Thursday.

(1) West Davidson and (2) East Davidson have byes in the first round.

Semifinals will be played at Finch Field in Thomasville, with games scheduled for 4:30 and 7 on Tuesday.

The championship game is set for 7 p.m. at Finch Field on Thursday.

 

First-round SPC tournament softball games are Monday.

Top-seeded West Rowan is at home against No. 8 South Rowan at 4:30 p.m.

Other first-round matchups: (7) East Rowan at (2) NW Cabarrus. (6) Cox Mill at (3) Central Cabarrus and (5) Hickory Ridge at (4) Carson

Central Cabarrus will be the host team for the semifinals and championship game.

 

CCC softball first-round tournament games are Tuesday.

East Davidson and West Davidson have first-round byes. East Davidson hosts the semifinals and championship game.

 

Prep golf

The 3A Midwest Regional golf tournament is at The Club at Irish Creek on Monday, with 8:30 the earliest tee time.

The 2A Midwest Regional golf tournament in Pilot Mountain is set for Tuesday, with 9 a.m. the earliest tee time.

 

Prep tennis

The dual team state playoffs resume with second-round matches Tuesday.

East Rowan plays South Iredell at Catawba. Salisbury hosts Hendersonville.

The individual state championships will be held this weekend with 2A competition at Cary and 3A competition in Burlington.

 

Prep track

The 3A state championships in Greensboro are set for Friday. The 2A Midwest Regional is at Monroe on Saturday.
