Rowan weather: Hot, humid, chance of storms

We’ll have summer-like conditions today and Tuesday, with warm temperatures and a chance of thunderstorms, some of which could be severe.
Today’s chance of showers and storms is 30 percent, mainly after 4 p.m. Until then, it will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high of 87. Severe storms could produce large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
Tonight, the chance of rain is still 30 percent, and fog is possible, with a low of 64. Some of the storms could also be severe, particularly with heavy rain.
Tuesday the chance of showers and storms is just 20 percent, with mostly sunny skies and another very warm high of 86. A light wind will blow from the southwest. Tuesday night’s low will be 55, with winds shifting to the north northwest.
Sunny and 78 for Wednesday, with no mention of rain and more breezes from the north northwest. Wednesday night’s low will be around 54.
Thursday looks mostly sunny, with a high of 76 and a low around 54.
Then the 30 percent chance of showers returns for Friday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 74. The chance of rain continues Friday night, with a low of 57.
There’s a lot going on Saturday, with graduations and festivals, but the chance of rain is 40 percent, and includes thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy, but warm, with a high of 79. The rain and storm chance drops to 30 percent Saturday night, with a low around 60.
Sunday is Bread Riot’s Riot in the Pasture. With a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, it will be mostly cloudy and 82. So, it shouldn’t be a washout. Get out and support local growers and producers.
