Annual JCPrice American Legion 96th anniversary week of celebration

J.C. Price Post No. 107 hosts its 96th anniversary annual Memorial Week Celebration, dedicated in Memory of Comrade Roy Leazer, from Wednesday, May 27 through Saturday, June 6 at the J.C. Price American Legion Post 107, 1433 Old Wilkesboro Road.

The week begins on Wednesday, May 27, with a Post open house.

The annual Everlasting Services program in remembrance of departed Veterans is on Sunday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.

On June 1 and 2 there will be a gospel singing from 6 to 9 p.m. on the midway with emcee Roland Carter, and entertainment downstairs in the auditorium Wednesday through Saturday nights.

On the midway there will be concessions available for food, homemade ice cream, arts and crafts, novelties, photo booths, clothes, games and more.

Carnival rides by TC Amusement will be in operation Thurday through Saturday, June 4 to 6.

On Thursday, June 4, receive a raffle ticket with the purchase of a $10 wrist band for a chance to win a bicycle and electronics.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday night J.C. Price will host dances.

Parking is free. No alcoholic beverages on Post grounds. Police and EMS will be on site.
