Man charged after using county credit card to buy gas
A Concord man faces charges after he allegedly used a Rowan County credit card to purchase fuel over a two-year period.
Keith Andrews Lawrence, 25, of the 5800 block of Raintree Road in Concord was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense.
According to the arrest warrant, Lawrence and several others used a credit card issued to Rowan County to purchase fuel at a Wilco Hess between January 2013 and February 2015. The group racked up more than $12,500 in charges on the card. The warrant did not list the others involved in the case.
Lawrence was put in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond.
Teen charged with stealing gun
A Salisbury teen who allegedly stole a handgun was issued a $10,000 bond Saturday.
Sometime between April 23 and May 23, William Trevor Kellery, 16, stole a .22-caliber handgun from Betty Myers, according to the arrest warrant.
Keller is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
