Stacey Maguire Mangan of China Grove recently graduated magna cum laude from Wofford College. She is the daughter of Al and Jennifer Mangan.
University of North Carolina at Asheville honors
The following students have been named to the dean’s list at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. The dean’s list is made up of full-time students who have achieved between a 3.5 and 3.99 grade point average.

Lebanon Valley College Dean’s List
Gaige VandeZande of Salisbury has been named to the dean’s list at Lebanon Valley College for the spring semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.
James Madison University President’s List
Briana Genevieve Craig of Kannapolis has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University. President’s list students must maintain a grade point average of 3.9 or above.
Mars Hill University Dean’s List
The following Mars Hill University students were named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 on a minimum of 12 semester hours, and carry no grade below a C.

Bob Jones University Dean’s List
Kaitlin Lane of Landis and April Snyder of Cleveland were named to the dean’s list at Bob Jones University for the Spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.00-3.74 GPA.
Local Student Inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society at William Woods University
Kiersten Lockman of Kannapolis was recently inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society at William Woods University. ODK recognizes achievement in five areas of campus life: scholarship; athletics; campus/community service social/religious activities, and campus government; journalism, speech, and the mass media; and creative and performing arts. Other qualifications for membership include exemplary character, responsible leadership and service in campus or community life, superior scholarship, genuine fellowship, and consecration to democratic ideals. A faculty must refer students or staff member to apply, must have a cumulative 3.4 GPA, and must be a junior or a senior.
Louisburg College Honors List
Zana Tatum of Mooresville was named to the honors list for the spring 2015 semester at Louisburg College. To be named to the honors list, a student must have completed at least 12 or more hours of college credit in a given semester and have a semester grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49.
