Blotter: Woman robbed, attacked outside Daymark

Salisbury Police say a woman was robbed in the Daymark Recovery Services parking lot early Thursday and hit over the head when she tried to hold onto her purse.
A man came up behind the victim in the parking lot of the center around 7:45 a.m. and grabbed her purse. She pulled it back out of the hands of the robber, and he hit her on the back of the head with a sharp object.
The woman received a cut to her head. She was treated on the scene by Rowan County EMS. The man, whom she described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt, ran toward nearby a apartment complex.
A police K-9 was called in to search, but no one was ever located.

• A man reported on Tuesday he was the victim of a fight that occurred in the 200 block of Wakefield Drive.
• A woman reported on Tuesday her golf cart was stolen from the 800 block of St. Matthews Church Road.

• Taylor Scott Bowles, 22, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor marijuana possession at Crescent and Faith roads.
• Terry Isaac Brown, 31, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor communicating threats while at the Rowan County jail.
