Blotter: Money, parts stolen during auto shop burglary

CHINA GROVE — Gordon’s Used Parts reported someone broke into the business sometime between Monday around 5:30 pm. and Tuesday just before 7 a.m.
Rowan County Sheriff’s officials said someone took $20 in cash and four catalytic converters from the automotive shop, located at 610 China Grove Road, China Grove.
The converters were valued at a total of $500, officials said.
Another shop, JR Finish Works, located about four miles away, was also broken into, according to a report.
The owner of JR Finish Works, Jeffrey Salsich, reported on Tuesday someone took items from the shop sometime between May 24 and Tuesday. The business is located at 1380 Shue Road.

• A woman reported on Tuesday she was threatened by a person brandishing a knife in the 100 block of Knight Farm Road, China Grove.
• A woman reported on Tuesday she was the victim of domestic assault in the 2000 block of Patterson Road.
• Jack Douglas Cornatzer, 62, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 2000 block of Patterson Road.
• John Dodd Rakowski, 16, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor possession of marijuana in the 7900 block of Stokes Ferry and St. Peters Church roads.
In Salisbury Police reports:
• A man reported on Wednesday he was the victim of vandalism in the 2300 block of Statesville Boulevard.
• A teen reported on Wednesday someone stole his laptop on June 4 in the 400 block of West Harrison Street.
• A man reported on Wednesday someone took items from his vehicle that occurred at Parkdale Mill plant #11, 2701 S. Main St.
• A man reported on Wednesday he was the victim of credit card fraud in the 500 block of West Jake Alexander Boulevard.
• Sara Ann Holdren, 26, was charged on Thursday with felony breaking and entering into a building in the 100 block of Redman Drive.
