Rowan authorities say a man that was added to their most wanted list in April has been arrested. Shacory Avery Brown, 28, was placed on the list for failure to notify of an address change by a registered sex offender. He was also wanted by Salisbury Police for felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Brown was arrested in Davidson County late last week and is currently being held in the Davidson County jail.
In March, he was named a suspect by Salisbury Police in a South Main Street boarding house shooting. Police said shortly after the incident that Brown and another tenant, Inwar Juvon Griffin, 37, argued prior to the shooting. Griffin was shot multiple times and taken to an area hospital.
Brown has previously been convicted of taking indecent liberties with a child and failing to notify authorities of an address change as a registered sex offender.
In March, Brown was removed from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office most wanted list for failing to register as a sex offender after he turned himself in to authorities on that charge.
