Fireworks for the Fourth

Saturday is Independence Day. The national holiday commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Celebrations will take place across the country, and fireworks will light up the night sky. Here’s a listing of firework shows that will be held in the area Saturday.
Faith: After a day-long festival, including the Fourth of July Parade at 10 a.m., fireworks will start at 10:30 p.m. at the Faith School ballpark. The finals for the Faith Idol competition begin at 7 p.m. A salute to veterans will be held at 10 p.m.
Kannapolis: Fireworks will be presented at CMC-NorthEast Stadium Friday and Saturday. The fireworks will be after the ballgame Friday night and at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets can ordered online or by calling the stadium box office at 704-932-3267. Saturday, there will be an All-American Community Celebration at the ballpark starting at 6 p.m.
Mocksville: Fireworks will be on display at Rich Park, at Cemetery Street and Park Drive, at 9:30 p.m.
High Rock Lake: The fireworks show scheduled for Saturday at the Rowan County Elks Lodge has been postponed. A new date has not yet been set.
