CHINA GROVE — Donnie Herring is taking another shot at the China Grove Town Council.
Herring, 69, is retired, but previously worked as a mechanic and for Food Lion. He ran in 2011 for the town council.
He listed his priorities if elected would be to make improvements to the road at Mill Village and increase the number of activities and programs for youth. Herring said roads should be improved at Mill Village because of the number of homes being built in the area. Herring said he doesn’t agree with sidewalks being put on Patterson Street.
Herring has his GED.
He has been a member of the China Grove Fire Department since 1980.
Herring and his wife Brenda have two daughters and three grandchildren.
