Man arrested after shouting profanities
A Dunn man was arrested in Salisbury after screaming profanities at customers in a local McDonald’s parking lot.
Aaron Franklin Glen Douglas, 30, of the 600 block of Self King Avenue in Dunn, was charged with exhibiting misdemeanor intoxicated and disruptive behavior. He was spewing profanity at customers of the McDonald’s in the 700 block of East Innes Street as they walked to their cars.
Douglas was arrested and his bond was set at $1000.
Cocaine leads to charges against two
Two local men are facing drug charges after law enforcement officers found 21 grams of crack cocaine with them.
Tony Maxwell, 30, of the 200 block of Owl Drive, and Quamesha D. Sifford, 22, of the 1200 block of North Long St. in East Spencer, were both charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine.
Maxwell faces additional charges of felony possession of a firearm by a felon and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance. He was found with a Bersa Ultra Compact 9 mm semiautomatic gun. He was previously charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Maxwell’s Chevrolet Tahoe was used to transport the cocaine.
His bond was set at $200,000, while Sifford’s was set at $50,000.
Man faces drug, weapon charges
A Salisbury man faces both drug and firearm charges after a run-in with the Salisbury Police Department.
Rennel Jeffrey Parson, 24, of the 900 block of Holmes Street, was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana, misdemeanor resisting a public officer and felony possession of a stolen firearm.
When Salisbury police officers ordered Parsons to show his hands while attempting to search him, he refused to show them.
When they were able to search him, the officers found a Kel-Tec 9 mm handgun that was stolen. Parsons was previously convicted on gun charges.
Parson’s bond was set at $25,000.
