Police are investigating an incident that left one man dead Saturday on Park Avenue in Salisbury.

Emergency personnel were called to 828 Park Avenue in Salisbury at 4:45 a.m. for a “man down” call, according to a news release from Salisbury Police.

Upon arrival officers found 30-year-old Jonathan Pierre Dillard dead. He had been shot, the news release said.

Nearby residents told police they heard gunshots prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.

Police are asking for help in gathering information in the case.
