Yadkin Riverkeeper to speak here Aug. 26

Will Scott of the Yadkin Riverkeepers will speak at Rowan Public Library, 201 W Fisher St, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m.  for  Keep Rowan Clean.

Scott is the lead advocate for preserving and protecting the Yadkin River basin. He holds a B.A in political science from the University of North Carolina and a juris doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, Chapel Hill. His interest in Yadkin Riverkeeper came from when he was an attorney for the Southern Environmental Law Center, where he worked with teams on state groundwater and federal air issues.

Scott will provide news and updates on water quality around the area of the Buck Station.
