FAITH — On Aug. 13, Faith Civitan Club held its annual awards ceremony. The following awards were presented.

Outstanding Civitan of the Year: Lyman Hoover
Service Above Self Award: Debbie Suggs
President’s Award: Tim Williams
William and Ann Howell are president elect and secretary of Faith Civitan Club.
South Rowan Class of 1970 45th reunion
CHINA GROVE — The South Rowan High School Class of 1970 has scheduled its 45th reunion for Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Kannapolis Moose Family Center on Old Beatty Ford Road just outside of China Grove, from 7 p.m. until midnight. A catered meal will be provided. Brown bagging is permitted and a cash bar will be available. Cost is $25/person.

Jane Smith-Steinberg honored
DAR member and former Regent Jane Smith-Steinberg was honored with the Coaching Legend Award at a recent Friday night Salisbury football game. Smith-Steinberg was responsible for bringing women’s sports into the schools in the 1970s.
Dukeville reunion
The annual Dukeville/Trading Ford Reunion will be Saturday, Sept. 12 at the former Dukeville School Building. The covered dish meal is at noon.
Isenhour reunion
Kannapolis — The Hans Nicholas Isenhour family will hold its 60th family reunion on Sunday, Sept. 20, starting at 1 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall, 301 Bethpage Road. All Isenhour descendants are encouraged to attend. Bring a favorite dish for the potluck lunch and family pictures for the history display table. For more information, call Alisa at 704-247-0518.
Misenheimer reunion
Mt. Pleasant — The Misenheimer family reunion for all Misenheimers will be held Sept. 12 at St. John’s Lutheran Church community building, 6200 Mt. Olive Church Road, at 2:30 p.m.. The meal is at 4:15 p.m. and the program at 5:30. Bring a covered dish, drink and serving utensils.
Auditions for Rowan Youth Orchestra — Rowan Youth Orchestra 2015-16 auditions on Sept. 13 from 3-5 p.m. Auditionees must be age 10-18 with at least two years instruction on the violin, viola, cello or bass. Weekly rehearsals begin Sept. 16 from 4-5:30 p.m. at Southeast Middle School. The first performance is Oct. 3 at the Autumn Jubilee. Registration $125 for the season.
