Neil and Sue Pierce of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 28, 2015. They were married Aug. 28, 1965, at Evangelical and Reformed Church in Fort Wayne, Ind., by the Rev. Dearhake.
Neil retired after 29 years with Hanes Brands Inc., and Sue retired from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College after 10 years and then after 22 years as a dental hygentist in a private practice.
They have two sons, Jon, wife Stacey, and their children Kohl, Kahner and Karhys Pierce; and Chris, wife Ginger, and their children Casey, Carter and Caden Pierce.
A family gathering was held Aug. 8 in Tampa, Fla., to celebrate this special event.
