Two people were injured in a shooting late Saturday evening at the corner of South Ellis and Marsh streets, according to Salisbury Police.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired at the 500 block of South Ellis Street with two victims. When police arrived they found bullet casings in the road and evidence that nearby cars had been hit by fire, but the suspects had fled.

The victims, Daeshore Aceem Lyles and Keven Roseberry, were taken by personal vehicle to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Both are in stable condition.

A criminal investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.

• A man reported Monday that his vehicle had been stolen from the 1100 block of Bringle Ferry Road.
• Derrick Scott Hammill, 48, was arrested Friday on charges of larceny at the 600 block of Statesville Boulevard.
• Aimee Lynn Lakey, 34, was arrested Sunday on charges of simple assault and assault and battery or affray, according to police report.
• David Lee Kendrick, 29, was arrested Friday on charges of simple possession.
