Rowan weather: Beautiful, but get ready for frosty nights

There’s definitely a chill in the air this morning, with a temperature of 45 degrees, but today will be sunny and 72.

A light north wind will pick up to 6 mph this morning. Tonight will be clear with a low of 49. The wind will shift to the south southwest.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 74, another beautiful day, with northwest breezes at 5-7 mph in the afternoon. Friday night will be clear with a low of 43 and a north wind around 6 mph.

Saturday will be much cooler, with a high of 63 under sunny skies and north winds at 3-7 mph. Now, here comes the big chill, with a low of 34. Frost is expected. You’d better spend the nice day taking in your plants.

Sunday will be cooler yet, with a high of 58 and a low of 33, so we may end up with a freeze in some areas.

Monday remains cool, but sunny, with a high of 59. The low will be back in the 30s — 35, with more frost likely.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be warmer, with a high Tuesday of 63 and a low of 44. Wednesday will have a high of 68.

There’s no rain anywhere in the forecast, just sunny skies with a few clouds.
