Man charged in October robbery

Salisbury police arrested a man in connection with an Oct. 16 armed robbery, Friday. Jalon Jaques Adkins, 18, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault inflicting serious injury after he allegedly robbed Josue Nunez on Oct. 16.
Adkins allegedly threatened Nunez with a knife and beat him around the face and head. Nunez reported that Adkins stole $500 from him.
Adkins was previously charged in October by the Salisbury Police Department with receiving or transferring stolen vehicles. He has been placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
