Iredell Sheriff charges Cleveland man with drug possession

A Cleveland man faces charges of drug possession from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Daniel G. Seymour, 28, of Barry Oak Road, Cleveland, was investigated by an Iredell County Sheriff’s deputy who was patrolling on Barry Oak Road.
Joshua Johnson was driving a Dodge Intrepid when Lt. C.L. Stone stopped him and noticed Johnson was “extremely nervous,” according to the report. Stone search the vehicle, then took Johnson back to his home where Stone contacted the car’s owner, Seymour.
Seymour’s residence was searched and Stone reportedly found 26 grams of marijuana, along with several items of drug paraphernalia.
Seymour was charged with possessing more than 1/2 ounce of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia. Seymour has prior charges of illegal drug possession.
