Rowan weather: Heavy rain possible overnight

Looks like we’re in for nasty weather. The rain will probably hold off until after 11 p.m. tonight, but as much as 2 inches is possible.

Today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 66 and east southeast wind at 6-9 mph.

Showers begin around 11 tonight, with a low of 62. Wind will be a factor, blowing from the south southeast at 10-20 mph, with gusts up to 33 mph.

Thursday brings the possibility of thunderstorms and a warm high of 71. Showers and storms are likely through the afternoon, with a 100 percent chance of rain. The wind will be calmer, and from the south at 5-7 mph.

Thursday night will be clear with a low of 44 and winds from the north at 5-7 mph.

Friday will be sunny and much cooler, with a high of 58 and northeast winds at 5-9 mph. A clear night will allow the low to dip to 34.

Saturday should be sunny, too, with a high of 55. The low will drop down to 31 Saturday night.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and even cooler, with a high near 46. The low will be a frigid 26 degrees.

Still chilly on Monday, with a high of 47 and a low of 29.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 53.
