Man found shot in alley

A man was shot in an alley in the 100 block of West Fisher Street in the early morning hours on Thursday.
The victim reported that he was walking behind a Fisher Street restaurant around 1 a.m. Thursday when he was approached by two men. He told police that they demanded his money, and when he said he didn’t have money or a wallet on him, they took his necklace, shot him in the neck and left him in the alley.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, where he is in stable condition, police spokeswoman Capt. Shelia Lingle said. This incident is still under investigation.

- A man reported that he was shot in the leg while walking home to Spencer in the early morning hours Wednesday.
- A burglary was reported Wednesday at the 800 block of West Jake Alexander Boulevard.
- A credit card fraud was reported Wednesday at Naples Cafe.
- Burglaries were reported Wednesday in the 300 and 500 blocks of East Bank Street.

- Carolina Site Works reported Monday that batteries were taken from construction equipment located at the 400 block of Hope Lane.
- A woman reported Monday that someone stole her riding lawn mower from the 3000 block of High Rock Road, Gold Hill.
- A man reported Monday that someone broke into his work truck parked at the 8100 block of Karriker Road, Kannapolis and stole two tool bags containing assorted tools and equipment.
- A man reported that items were taken from a vehicle parked at the 8900 block of West NC 152 Highway, Mooresville.
- A man reported Monday that someone used his debit card and PIN without his knowledge to withdraw money from several locations.
- A man reported Monday that someone stole a pistol out of a vehicle parked at the 1000 block of Coldwater Street, Kannapolis.
- A man reported Monday that someone stole the rear-end of his car while it was parked at the 1000 block of Gateway Drive, Mooresville.
- A man reported items stolen Monday from the 100 block of Oak Ridge Run.
- A man reported went to the Sheriff’s Office Tuesday to report an assault.
- A woman reported Tuesday that someone broke into her shed at her home at the 1900 block of North Enochville Avenue, China Grove and stole a pressure washer.
- A man reported that someone fired a shot over his head while he was hunting Tuesday morning at the 18500 block of Old Beatty Ford Road, Gold Hill.
- A man reported that a dog was stolen Tuesday at the 1300 block of Shue Road, China Grove.
- A man reported an assault Tuesday at the 300 block of Brown Road, China Grove.
- Gregory Thomas Young, 29, was charged Tuesday at the 1300 block of Deal Road, Mooresville with possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Denise Renae Urtz, 47, was charged Tuesday at the 1000 block of Double Impact Drive, Rockwell with possessing a stolen vehicle.
- Dennis James Hunsucker, 60, was charged Tuesday at the Sheriff’s Office with simple assault.
- Robin Burleyson Stokes, 57, was charged Tuesday at the 200 block of North Main Street with contempt of court and violating orders of court.
- Jackie Lynn Leazer, 29, was charged Tuesday at the Sheriff’s Office with resist, delay and obstructing a public officer.
- James Robert Bryson, 31, was charged Tuesday at the 300 block of Brown Acres Road, China Grove with simple assault.
- William Edward Norman, 45, was charged with violating a 50b order at the 200 block of North Main Street, Monday.
- Lindsay Bost, 30, was charged Monday at the 200 block of North Main Street with assault causing serious bodily injury.
- John Wilburn Harmon, 29, was charged Monday at the Sheriff’s Office with simple assault.
