A Papa John’s employee told police she was robbed at gunpoint while returning from a delivery Friday.
Dashanna Poe said at 12:31 a.m. Friday she had just finished a delivery at Holly Leaf apartments off of Woodleaf Road when she had to stop her car. She said that a dark gray Toyota was blocking the exit to the complex. Poe stopped behind the vehicle and blew her horn.
According to the report, Poe noticed movement to her left, and when she looked she saw someone approaching the driver side of her vehicle. The person opened Poe’s car door and allegedly pointed a gun at her.
“Give me all your money,” Poe said the person told her.
Poe told police she could tell by the voice that the alleged robber was an African-American female who was trying to make her voice sound deeper than it was. Poe handed over the money she had, $19 in cash, and reported that the woman ran back the way she’d come. Poe called 911.
According to the report, the woman was wearing brown sweatpants and a black zip-up hoodie with the hood pulled over the head and the drawstrings pulled tight.
