Authorities need the public’s help in finding a Salisbury man believed to be involved in two recent purse snatching incidents. Salisbury Police say on Nov. 23 they responded to Big Lots at 711 E. Innes St. where the victim said a male approached her, pushed her shopping cart and grabbed her purse out of it. The man ran out of the front door of the store.

The second incident occurred a few days later on Nov. 29 outside the Big Lots. The victim told investigators she was walking to her car with her bags and had her purse on her shoulder. The male grabbed the purse and she fell to the ground.

Police say they are looking for Robert Maurice Singletary, 24, whose last known address is 1210 W. Horah St. He has a number of outstanding warrants including felony larceny, common law robbery and two counts of attempted obtaining property by false pretenses.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Singletary is asked to call the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245. These calls can be made anonymously.
