CHINA GROVE — Rowan authorities are looking for a woman who they believe robbed an 82-year-old China Grove man at his Scamp Road home over the weekend.

The incident occurred Sunday night at the home of Ralph Cauble, who told investigators he was sitting at home watching television when he heard a knock at his door. When he opened the door, a woman whom he knew as Brandy was standing in the doorway.

Cauble said she walked past him and into his bedroom. He followed her and asked her to leave. Before saying anything further, Cauble said Brandy hit him over the head with an unknown object. He was rendered unconscious. When Cauble came to, he said Brandy was gone and so was his wallet containing about $300.
