Crime blotter: Woman sought in alleged robbery of 82-year-old

Rowan authorities are looking for a woman who they believe robbed an 82-year-old China Grove man at his Scamp Road home over the weekend.
The incident occurred Sunday night at the home of Ralph Cauble, who told investigators he was sitting at home watching television when he heard a knock at his door. When he opened the door, a woman whom he knew as Brandy was standing in the doorway.
Cauble said she walked past him and into his bedroom. He followed her and asked her to leave. Before saying anything further, Cauble said Brandy hit him over the head with an unknown object. He was rendered unconscious. When Cauble came to, he said Brandy was gone and so was his wallet containing about $300.
Cauble was not seriously injured. Officials continue to investigate, but ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245 or Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687.

• A man reported on Sunday someone broke glass from a back door with a rock causing the alarm to sound in the 1400 block of Ginn Road, Gold Hill.
• Daniel Lynn Jordan, 31, was charged on Thursday with felony obtaining property by false pretenses while at the Rowan County courthouse.
• Natalie Amaral, 21, was charged on Thursday with financial transaction card take/obtain while at the Rowan County courthouse.
• Zackary Shane Rogers, 17, was charged on Thursday with misdemeanor simple assault.
• Crystal Thomas Stumba, 37, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor marijuana possession while in the 9000 block of N.C. 801, Mount Ulla.
• William Robert Trull, 29, was charged on Friday with felony breaking and entering a building in the 400 block of Grace Church Road.
• Carmeisha Shannell Mitchell, 26, was charged on Friday with felony possession of marijuana while at the Rowan County jail.
• Shannon Dale Hartman, 40, was charged on Friday with felony breaking and entering vehicles while at the Rowan County jail.

• A woman reported Sunday someone tried to break into her property in the 100 block of West Thomas Street.
