Kinzey Appointed Vice Chair of Global Editorial Committee

Ruth Kinzey, president of The Kinzey Company, was appointed vice chair of the International Association of Business Communicators’ Global Editorial Committee.

The focus of the committee is to provide input on: the organization’s editorial and format of its professional e-magazine, CW, and e-bulletin; digital delivery methods for content to its worldwide membership; identification of global communication trends and issues; and global communication strategy for other relevant editorial material.

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), which serves members in more than 70 countries, is a worldwide network of communication professionals committed to improving organizational effectiveness through strategic communication.

Kinzey has served as a member of the committee for two years. After serving her term as vice chair, Kinzey will become chair of the Global Editorial Committee.

Kinzey’s career spans more than 35 years in the corporate and consulting communication arenas. She owns a reputation management firm, The Kinzey Company, which is headquartered in Salisbury. She also has written two books and is a professional speaker. Kinzey is an adjunct professor for Rutgers University online, communication master’s degree program.

Rowan County Chamber of Commerce to host networking event

The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Chamber Business After Hours, a networking event sponsored by Novant Health. The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, at the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center at 612 Mocksville Ave. in Salisbury.

The event is free to Rowan Chamber members and $20 for non-members.
