LANDIS — South Rowan’s basketball teams lost a South Piedmont Conference doubleheader to Hickory Ridge on Friday night.

In the boys game, South lost, 74-60. Jaqwon Hester led the Raiders with 15 points, followed by 11 each from Colson Childers and Tre Littlejohn. Ian Bradshaw added 10 points for South (0-10, 0-7 SPC).

Hickory Ridge improves to 7-2 and 5-2.

In the girls game, the Raiders (2-7, 1-6 SPC) fell, 86-53, despite the efforts of Janiya Downs, who scored 24 points. Riley Corriher followed with 12 points.

Hickory Ridge’s girls are now 9-0 and 7-0.
