Governor Pat McCrory will be speaking at the Rowan Chamber of Commerce’s annual gala meeting.

The 90th annual gala meeting will be on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m. at The Depot at 215 Depot St. in Salisbury.

The sponsor of the event is Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

The chamber is celebrating the community’s accomplishments over the past year and getting ready for the business challenges of the new year. Dari Caldwell of Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, the 2015 chairperson, will step down, and Ted Goins of Lutheran Services Carolinas will take her place as the 2016 chairperson.

Awards will be presented for the Paul E. Fisher Chamber Volunteer of the Year, the Chamber Champion Small Business of the Year and the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award.

Charter members. long-term businesses and past chairs of the board will be featured.

Corporate sponsorship tables are $1,000 for eight premium seats. Individual seats for chamber members are $40 per person or $75 for a couple (two seats). For non-members, seats are $65 per person.
